Jennifer Menchin is back at 2BS/B-Rock (after lasting a whole month out of the industry) hosting a new afternoon talk show - "Talk of the Town" on 2BS. And in further news, she will tie the knot with B-Rock Program Director and Brekky Jock Justin Coombes Pearce on March 8, in the Blue Mountains. Congratulations to them both.

Former 4MK FM Mackay breaky jock Rob 'Bear' Kidd has now landed the breaky gig at 5MU Murray Bridge. He's also pulling a morning shift on sister station Power FM. Partner Loretta Johns, news journo for 4MK FM / Hot FM Mackay is now at Win TV in Loxton as a reporter, just 'up the road'

After spending three years living in Sydney (where he worked as a stand-up comic and dabbled in radio), Brisbane boy Jamie Row has been employed to talk into a microphone on Nova 106.9.

Row is not the only appointment this week, with Brisbane girl Kate Casey also heading home as Nova 106.9’s Music Director.

NXFM's Music Director and drive presenter, Daniel 'Danno' Cassin, is heading to Austereo sister station, SAFM in Adelaide, as MD. Afternoon host and Assistant MD, 'Nudge' (Ryan Rathbone), is also leaving to become MD at Foxtel’s Channel [V].

Long time hosts of Triple J's 'This Sporting Life', Roy and HG, are returning to ABC tv to host a Saturday night entertainment show, 'The Memphis Trousers Half Hour', starting on 12 March.

Movement of a printing kind: Triple J is spreading its wings, with plans confirmed for a quarterly magazine, Jmag. The first edition is due out in April.

Non-movement: With the office lift out for four days, Mike Carlton has been up to no good. He put up a note on official letterhead saying: "Staff Fitness: Please note that, after much discussion, we have decided not to repair the 2UE lift. This will be a substantial cost saving and a demonstration of our ongoing commitment to the Southern Cross 'Can Do' employee fitness program." Apparently, all staff appreciated the prank, except for one producer.

RATS in the ranks... (Radio And Tv Survivors) gather in Brisbane at the Pineapple Hotel, the Gabba, every 3 months or so. Ken Guy, (ex 3TR, 3CV, 3SH, 7EX, 3UZ, 3AW, 2KY, 4BH, ABC, LBC, TVO, 4BC) told us that he's been through more stations than the Southern aurora).

He suggested a category of "Old Farts" in the drop down list for the radioinfo registration - reckon there are more than a few of you out there!

Jeremy Ryan (JR) is leaving 107.1 SA fm in Adelaide.
He came from Alice Springs the previous year to co-host the Triple M Freq show with Wilco on the previous Triple M format. He then went on to SAFM in a weekend on-air role, but is now heading off interstate.

Movement of cashflow kind: ex-5DN morning presenter, Jeremy Cordeaux, has forked out plenty at the Cherie Blair fundraiser in Adelaide. Sitting with South Australian Premier, Mike Rann, Cordeaux has contributed at least $10 000 in several successful bids, including $3000 for a framed, autographed photo of seven US presidents.

Sydney based news stringer and voice-over guy Tim Stackpool heads to Saudi Arabia on Friday to cover the Economic Forum in Jeddah. He's producing the live multi-camera coverage as well as packaging 5 and 10 minute end-of-day reports for CNBC. He's also recently landed the station ID voice job for Beat FM in Amman, Jordan.

MRR/4TOFM announcer and Music Director Glenn Mintern is adding to his workload, and is now running the "Townsville Radio School". The first course of ten students graduate this week. The next course begins on 1st March - the course runs every Tuesday night for ten weeks.

It's set to be a busy year for Mintie with the birth of baby number 2 - a sibling for 18month old Montana. In addition he has an on-ground hosting role at the North Queensland Cowboys home games and his ongoing drive shift across Queensland!

Clive Robertson has been busy since leaving ABC Classic FM breakfast - losing weight (15 kilos) and writing his memoirs, War and No Peace. And, he has turned up as a surprise guest on Nova 969's Paul Murray evening show. Murray was suffering a sore throat and invited Robbo to come in one night recently to help him out on air. The two are friends from their days at 2SM.
