Gary Rendall leaves 6PR

Gary Rendall has left 6PR Perth after 17 years as Promotions Director and more than 40 years in radio promotions and events; Gary started at 3AK in 1975 as a general office worker, before being transferred to 6PM Perth in 1979.  Some 12 years later he switched to 6KYFM, that became MIX 94.5 until 1997 and after a  few years in Events and publishing, he returned to commercial radio at 6PR in 2001.  He told radioinfo:​

My full time radio career is on pause for the time being as I have decided to step back from a management role; I will be exploring Event and Promotions opportunities in Perth later this year.

After 15 years on weekends at 2UE George Moore and Paul B. Kidd are moving their show to sister station 2GB where they are scheduled to be on air for just four hours from 9am til 1pm instead of  the current six hours from 6am to midday. Their place on 2UE will be taken over by Mieke Buchan and Rob Duckworth.
