CBAA board has terminated the contracts of six AMRAP staff who have left to establish 'The Republic of AMRAP." They say, "We are using personal resources and are volunteering our time to protect this publicly funded asset, and to work for the amazing artists and broadcasters that rely on Amrap' A CBAA spokesperson said: "The CBAA Board made the difficult decision to terminate the employment of six Amrap staff members following breaches of their employment contracts."

Established in 1984, the Radio Training Institute is closing its classrooms and studios for the final time.​ But owner, Ace Radio, is introducing a new traineeship scheme to "better identify and nurture homegrown radio talent," now that the Melbourne based Institute has had to close.
