WA training for Community Broadcasters

The Western Australian Community Broadcasting Association (WACBA) is hosting a three day workshop in aspects of starting or running a community broadcasting station.

The workshop will be held July 25 – 27 with the financial support of CBF and West Australian Lotteries.

For a small registration fee participants “can ensure that they and their station (or prospective station) gets the skills and knowledge necessary for successful community broadcasting.”

The Lotteries Commission has provided funds to assist in travel and accommodation for regional attendees.

The venue – “Rendezvous” in Scarborough – has special room prices for WACBA workshop attendees and will extend the special prices either side of the workshop dates if required.

All attendees will receive training material and will be part of a significant community broadcasting networking opportunity in WA.

To assist groups in getting the most out of the workshops there is a substantial discount for multiple attendees from the same station or aspirant station.
