Triple T’s welcome home for Big Brother winner

Hobart’s Triple T FM celebrated Reggie’s Big Brother win when she returned home to Tasmania last week. Triple T has been involved with the program since the beginning, with Triple T’s “Go Regina” Campaign, which included Regina Kiss Biscuits, Car Stickers, a Regina for a Day promotion and a Regina Tow Truck.

Triple T listeners made a ‘Go Reg’ human sign as she returned home and Triple T breakfast team Kim & Dave greeted her “as she placed her first steps on home soil for the first time in over 3 months.”

Promotions Manager Nadeen Burge told radioinfo:

“The TV shows – Big Brother & The Insider – have covered our stories/promotions on at least 5 separate occasions over the course of the 3 months and it all culminated last week with the our “Home Coming” plans where we had the flight path of her plane changed so she would fly over our Human “Go Reg” sign. There was a street parade and a shopping centre appearance where over 4,000 people packed into Northgate.

Over the course of the 3 months we have gained regular coverage in national and local TV, newspaper and magazines – this is definitely a great example as to the power and benefits that radio has to offer as all of this was achieved on next to no budget, yet it was highly appealing and entertaining to our listeners and clients alike.”

Regina Bird was the first married & female winner of Big Brother, plus she was the first Tasmanian housemate.
