Triple M Rush Hour blows up a car

Friday 25 October, 2013

The team at Triple M's Rush Hour in Melbourne has had quite enough of seeing people driving around all day in 'bomb' cars. So, hosts James Brayshaw and Billy Brownless have decided to go out with a bang for their final afternoon show for this year, by blowing up a worthy car and replacing it with a brand new Mitsubishi Triton work truck.
James Brayshaw said: “After years of badgering management they’re finally letting us blow something up.”

Billy Brownless added: “Pity it isn’t JB.”
The Rush Hour duo believe no one should have to spend the day driving around without aircon, sporting a wonky seat full of stinky holes or god forbid a dodgy radio with shocking reception. Therefore they’ve borrowed fellow Triple M radio host Luke Darcy’s pub, Melbourne Public on South Wharf Promenade, where they will broadcast the final Rush Hour for the year and press the button to see one of four worthy cars blown up on the big screen. The actual ‘blowing up’ to take place in outer Melbourne.
The owner of the disintegrated car will be handed the keys to a shiny new Mitsubishi, and sadly, the other three Triple M listeners will have their old vehicles returned.
James and Billy have selected four worthy bombs from four worthy blokes so they can regain some respect, and some decent radio listening out on the road.
