triple j to provide Sound Relief broadcast feed to commercials

When it comes to big event OBs the ABC is the best in the business. They have both the equipment and the expertise. At this weekend’s giant Sound Relief concert, the triple j network’s outstanding live-music team will capture the audio at both the Sydney and Melbourne venues.

triple j will make the audio available free for radio networks to broadcast throughout the day. DMG radio, ARN, Macquarie Regional Radioworks and Austereo will be participating.

dmg Radio says the broadcast will “capture the emotion and atmosphere of one of Australia’s most historic musical occasions, when top artists join together for two stadium benefit concerts run simultaneously in Melbourne and Sydney this Saturday March 14.”

The Nova Network will broadcast both Sound Relief concerts live from 12 midday to 10.30pm. Featuring live crosses to both events, artist interviews and crowd reactions, Nova’s coverage will allow listeners to share the passion and excitement at both the MCG in Melbourne and SCG in Sydney.

Nova 969’s Tim Ross and Kate Ritchie will open the event live on stage in Sydney and will introduce Coldplay, while Nova 100’s Dave Hughes and Ed Kavalee will present Kings of Leon live from Melbourne.
