Strongest tip yet as to who will succeed Hamish and Andy on Hit Network Drive

Wednesday 12 July, 2017

Afternoon Hit Network presenters Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little are strong contenders to take over from Hamish and Andy when the iconic drive duo retire from radio later this year.

Bickmore and Little currently present a one hour afternoon show on Hit network stations, before then going onto their other commitments such as The Project and Little's comedy shows.

Austereo CEO Guy Dobson told Fairfax Media today that both Bickmore and Little "are among the top contenders to replace Hamish and Andy at the end of the year."

The pair announced their plans at the end of last year, foreshadowing that they would return late back on air at the beginning of 2017, and would finish with a bang towards the end fo the year.

Now that it is the second half of 2017, advertisers will be pushing for some certainty about the timeslot by the fourth quarter of this year, so that they can plan their campaigns for 2018.
