Shawn Mendes performs to an intimate crowd in Nova’s Red Room

On Monday night, singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes performed live in Nova’s Red Room at Universal Music’s Studio in Sydney to an intimate crowd of Nova listeners.
 
Mendes is here in Australia for just a few days promoting his second album, Illuminate, and brand new single, Mercy.
 
Mendes was first discovered in 2013 after posting cover videos on social video app Vine, gaining millions of views and followers in a few short months. 
 
By August 2014, Mendes was the third most-followed artist on the app and was signed to a record label in the same year, releasing his first single Life of the Party.  
 
Mendes is the youngest artist to reach 1 billion streams, with Stitches alone having over 500 million streams globally and in 2015, he released his first album Handwritten which debuted at #1 in his home country, Canada, #1 in America and peaked in the ARIA Top 20s in Australia.
 
Mendes performed his hits to an invite-only crowd of Nova listeners and guests.
