Sex, internet and rock n roll a feature of ABC radio’s 702 day

The ABC’s Sydney studios were packed with a contrasting crowd of 20 and 70 somethings for yesterday’s ‘702 Day,’ the 7th of the second 2007.

The idea for 702 Day wasinspired by Canberra’s local station ABC666, which last year ran a similar theme day on 6/6/06. ABC staff and management were pleased with the connections the station made with other ‘702 stations’ around the world, including one in the Phillipines and one in Johannesburg.

Richard Glover’s drive program was broadcast in front of a live audience full of the contrasting age groups. In discussions between the two groups there was consensus that sex was better these days than in the past, that the internet made communication easier, on many other topics their opinions differed.

Downloads of the day’s highlights and the full drive show can be replayed on the ABC702 website (click below).
