SBS Radio wins two ABU Awards in Seoul

SBS Radio has won two prestigious awards in Seoul at the 2012 ABU Prizes. This story now UPDATED with the full list of winners.

 

Pop Asia won the Radio Interactive Programs category, reflecting the significance of the channel in building audiences for digital radio in Australia, as well as its achievements in cross platform interaction with its audience.

Just after they received their award, winners Jamaica DelaCruz and Matthew Smith spoke to radioinfo’s Steve Ahern, who is in Seoul for the ABU General Assembly.

SBS personality Michelle Lovegrove, who presents Living Black, won the ABU prize for best Radio Personality.

 

The awards were presented in a glittering live tv ceremony in the studios of KBS Korea in Seoul. SBS also won several television awards.
