More changes at ARN

After a difficult year with Claire Hooper and Tim Ross at Mix 106.5, ARN has decided to make changes by emulating their ground breaking all female Chrissie & Jane breakfast show from Melbourne and announcing that Sami Lukis and Yumi Stynes will co-host breakfast in Sydney in 2013.

Claire Hooper had previously told the network that she would not be renewing her contract, but she has reconsidered with news of the new co-host.

Tim ‘Rosso’ Ross will move to drive in 2013, which will be heard in Sydney and Melbourne.

Ant Simpson will leave the network at the end of the 2012.

Both women have been part of the network in recent times with Sami co-hosting the Ant & Sami Lukis Show on MixFM in Sydney and Melbourne and Yumi co-hosting The 3pm Pick-Up with Chrissie Swan nationally.

ARN’s National Content Director Duncan Campbell says: “The combination of Sami and Yumi will make for an exciting new show at breakfast in Sydney in 2013. The chemistry between them is fantastic and they fit the station perfectly. This move will allows us to create compelling content for the audience that is unique to Mix106.5 Sydney in what will be another competitive year for radio, particularly at breakfast… Rosso’s comedic edge makes him uniquely suited for the drive home and now audiences in Australia’s two biggest radio markets will be able to enjoy his trademark wit.”
