Richard Mercer program expected to be further networked

ARN is expected to network Richard Mercer’s ‘Love God’ program to Melbourne later in the year, axing a similarly formatted local program hosted by Allie MacDougall.

The move comes after the show was recently networked into Adelaide, replacing local presenter Don Plenty.

ARN Programmers and managers met in Sydney this week to discuss programming strategy for the coming year.

Richard Mercer’s program is one of Sydney’s highest rating night programs and has a strong listener base which would make it an obvious choice for networking.

New ‘Next-Gen’ automation/playout software, which has recently been installed in ARN stations, enables efficient networking and allows local elements to be easily inserted from a central location.
