Real Country Expands

Stations whose listeners like a bit of country in their mix can now choose a new one hour version of Ben Sorensen’s Real Country.

The program is distributed by Helmes Media Solutions. It follows on from the success of the weekly Real Country Interview.

General Manager Joel Helmes says, it makes sense that an expanded, one hour weekly version was offered. “Ben is unquestionably at the forefront of the Australian and international country music scene, he has his finger on the pulse and is highly respected in industry circles.”

“He is also an accomplished and experienced radio and TV host and this new show is very entertaining.”

The one hour Real Country show includes current and past country hits, industry news, short artist interviews, and features such as a country double play and song requests through what’s been dubbed ‘Social Country’.

The new show is available to stations on a barter deal and will be delivered in four segments each week with a total running time of 45 minutes including 8×30 second ads.
