Applications have now closed for commercial radio licences on Queensland’s Gold Coast and in Nambour. The ABA received 8 applicants from bidders for the Gold Coast licence and 11 have registered for Nambour.

The auction will takeplace at Brisbane City Hall on Monday 26 August. There is a reserve price of $250,000 for the Gold Coast licence and $100,000 for the Nambour licence.

As part of a new policy the ABA will, from now on, release the identities of all applicants before auctions take place. The bidders will be:
