In what could hardly be called a surprise, Morning presenter Paul Murray has announced today that he will not be returning to 2UE in 2014.
This was a highly expected announcement first touted when the news came through that Jason Morrison would not be re-signed for next year.
This morning, Murray told listeners that the show will finish up on December 13 with a big Outside Broadcast from the new Wet’N’Wild Sydney theme park.
On Twitter, Murray wrote:
Murray is a well known and respected broadcaster just 1 year into a 3 year agreement with 2UE, leading to much conjecture about what direction the Fairfax station will be taking next year.
Paul Murray was a real chance for 2UE with a team built around him. But hang on, when have Fairfax Radio built anything ? Of course he'd walk. Good luck Paul.
