One of Australia’s leading Indigenous voices joins the CBAA Conference lineup

APRA AMCOS Ambassador Emily Wurramara will join the line-up for the CBAA’s 2018 national conference.

One of Australia’s leading voices in Indigenous music, Emily grew up in remote Groote Eylandt in the Gulf of Carpentaria before moving to Brisbane to pursue her natural talent for music.

Emily’s 2016 EP ‘Black Smoke’, which featured stunning stories sung both in English and Wurramara’s traditional language Anindilyakwa, garnered critical acclaim, as well as racking up 1 million Spotify streams and spending 10 weeks in the CBAA’s Amrap Charts.

This year, she has released her debut album ‘Milyakburra’ and celebrated with a sell-out national tour.

Emily Wurramara will entertain and educate community broadcasters from all over Australia at the Gold Coast Exhibition Centre in November at this year’s conference. Full program here

Snap up your earlybird tickets to the CBAA conference before they close on Monday, 3 September.

Emily’s latest single is Lady Blue. Community broadcasters can access this track for airplay on Amrap’s AirIt.
