New boys in Sydney morning talk timeslots

Former Ten News Editor Jason Morrison has rejoined 2GB and is standing in for Ray Hadley from the next week and-a-half.

Morrison says Hadley is taking “a rare but very well deserved and overdue holiday.”

With rival morning talk heavy-weight John Laws also on leave with a bad back, Morrison will be up against Tim Webster who’s filling for Laws.

“Tim and I are mates from working together at Ten. We spoke last week and see nice irony in the fact that we were TV allies and a fortnight later, fierce radio-rivals,” Morrison has told radioinfo.

Morrison had a meeting on Thursday with the newsroom to outline his role with the station in relation to both programs and the newsroom.
