An update on radioinfo’s report from yesterday regarding the all-female line-up at 612 ABC Brisbane.

With the men folk away, including Spencer Howson and Tony Delroy, it was left to the women to take over every shift from 5 am to 10 pm.

The line-up created a burst of conversation on social media regarding female announcers and gender equality generally.

But not everyone was happy.

“Other Brisbane stations employ male presenters but 612 are increasing their number of giggling females whose poor quality voices and speech show how far 612 standards have fallen,” the complaint from a woman said.
