Lehmo to join Wil Anderson on Triple M drive

As predicted, Austereo has officially announced that SAFM’s
Anthony ‘Lehmo’ Lehmann will join Wil Anderson as co-host of Triple M’s new national drive show.

The man Adelaide Confidential named it’s ‘most over-exposed local celebrity for 2006’ will take up the role when the show begins in April.

Lehmo, who threw in a career as a chartered accountant for stand-up comedy and radio, this morning told his Adelaide listeners he will move to Sydney for his new gig alongside Wil Anderson:

“I’ve known Wil for a long time and he’s a good mate. In fact he gave me my first-ever
radio spot as a guest on his Triple J breakfast show and my first-ever TV spot as a guest on
The Glasshouse. Now he has to put up with me every day… but he started it!

“It will be difficult to leave Adelaide and the SAFM breakfast show, I love the city and I
have loved working with Milly and the rest of the team, but the opportunity to work with Wil was too great to pass up.”

Lehmo has been breakfast co-host on Austereo’s SAFM in Adelaide for the past three years, helping the show gain the biggest cumulative audience of any breakfast show in the
city.

Austereo group program director Guy Dobson has told radioinfo:

“We’ve been looking for the right talent to stick beside Wil – he’s a unique storyteller and we wanted the best fit. Luckily we didn’t have to look too far – it’s a great credit that we’ve been able to nurture
someone like Lehmo to this point.”

Anderson says he is looking forward to working with Lehmo.
