Gold Coast station Hot Tomato has now been testing for a week and all reports are that there is good reception right across the listening area.

The station’s studios are almost complete, but the surrounding office infrastructure is still being built. “We were sitting here with dust masks over our faces last week,” one staffer told radioinfo with a laugh.

The studios are using Klotz desks and the RCS playout system and in Production there is a Protools system linked to a Yamaha O3D desk.

The station is currently playing a test program loop with Jaan Torv’s voice announcing the test and an ecclectic mixture of music being played.
