Film and Sound Archive takes delivery of Tony Martin’s collection

Tony Martin visited the National Film and Sound Archive’s Melbourne Office today with boxes full of audio treasures.

He lodged a complete set of the radio series Get This as well as highlights of the Today Network’s Martin/Molloy show.

The collection was curated by Tony Martin from his personal cassette collection.

An archive spokesperson has told radioinfo that Tony is currently being interviewed for the NFSA Oral History program, and the donation of material has resulted from those interviews.

He kept detailed track listings of each segment, which will help the Archive to catalog the material.

Tony Martin told ABC Radio’s Rebecca McLaren about his gift to the Archives and how he has transported the boxes of cassettes from house to house over the years each time he has moved.

Tony Martin tweeted this picture from the collection earlier this week.
