94.9 Power FM’s Loz & Jack sold 1600 cupcakes in 3 hours this morning in Nowra to raise money for the RSPCA Shoalhaven. 

Last year Lauren McWhirter & Jack van der Heyden kicked it off for the first time raising $1600, but this year have gone one step further so far raising over $5000.

With the tally still being finalised the guys also raised just under $3000 last Thursday when Jack van der Heyden took on the challenge from Rob at New Image Kitchens to eat 10 cupcakes in 10 minutes at Berry Public School.

Local bakeries have got right behind the event donating the cupcakes.  Being a footy fan, Jack worked out that by placing the cakes side by side they would cover the entire length and width of a footy field!

Power FM Program Director Michael Moffett said, ‘it’s amazing to see the reaction from Loz & Jack’s efforts along with the local community, and it’s great that the money stays right here in the region’.
