Danny Lakey joins the Triple M Network

Danny Lakey will move from his role as late-nights host on the Hit Network to cross over to the Triple M Network.

Danny, who will head up a new national night time show across the network, is no stranger to Triple M having occasionally turned up to try his hand at being a boundary rider for Triple M Footy’s Swans and GWS home games over the past couple of years.

The new show will be based around Danny’s unique personality and lifestyle, with a 90’s and New Rock soundtrack.

Danny Lakey said: “I’m super excited to head over to Triple M. I can’t wait to get stuck into a new show and a new challenge. I’ve been secretly listening to the station on my drive to and from work each night for the past three years, so I’m glad to get rid of that guilty feeling in the pit of my stomach as well. Bring it on!”

Head of Triple M Network, Mike Fitzpatrick, said: “We’ve been persistent in trying to get Danny over to Triple M for a while now and we’ve finally worn everyone down. He’s an exceptional talent and I’m excited to have him host a new night show across the network. Danny joins an elite group of personalities to have hosted Triple M Nights over the past 40 years including Ugly Phil, John Peters, John Kennedy, Crud, Spoonman and Rob Elliott –  his future hosting of a Wheel of Fortune revival is written in the stars now.”

A commencement date for Danny’s new show on Triple M will be announced soon.
