Community Radio Internships to Germany

Nikki Karpeles from Edge Radio in Hobart and Guy Degen from 2SER in Sydney have been selected for the 2003/04 Mike Thompson/Deustche Welle Radio Internships.

The internships, now in their 4th year and open to applicants from Australian Community Radio stations, are named after former CBAA General Manager Mike Thompson, who passed away last year.

The award is sponsored by Deustche Welle, which funds and hosts the interns.

The first to head off to DW’s new Bonnheadquarters in August will be Nikki Karpeles, with Guy Degen being part of a second intake in February next year.
