As the 2002 AFTRS students near the end of their Graduate Diploma in Commercial Radio Broadcasting, applications have opened for next year’s course.

Head of Radio Steve Ahern says: “We really appreciate it when managers of Community and Commercial stations around the country spot somebody who would suit the commercial radio industry and refer them on to us. Not everybody makes it into this highly competitive course, but it is important for us to give everyone an opportunity to apply – the first step to that is knowing where to find information about us.”

Prospective applicants can get a form from the AFTRS website at www.aftrs.edu.au or by phoning 02 9805 6444. Application Forms are also being sent to station managers around the country to pass on to keen young people who they think may have a future in commercial radio.
