radioinfo was recently given a tip from reader Jono that Coles Radio now has live announcers.
Coles Radio have now got live DJs on their station and people can make song requests to them.
Thanks Jono, we can confirm Nova Entertainment announcer Miriam Young has been live on air since last month.
The show is called ‘The Studio’ and is on Monday to Friday 3pm – 6pm and Sat – Sun 11am – 2pm.
Coles Radio rated well in the latest DAB+ survey released today.
It gained a massive 18 thousand listeners in Sydney sitting narrowly behind Edge Digital with 74 thousand listeners.
Coles Radio is a digital music platform set up to enhance the customer in-store experience with a rich music format offering an extensive playlist that is tailored to the time of day.
Hi,
I don't like the music that DJ Miriam plays on Coles Radio.I think she plays too many hits and too much modern chart music. When Coles Radio first launched,I really liked it and there were lots of good easy listening tracks being played on it.I think that Coles Radio could be greatly improved by reducing the amount of modern chart music it's playing and by instead playing more of the easy listening classic songs like "Morningtown Ride" by The Seekers,"Precious and few" by Climax,"High" by Lighthouse Family and "I love little baby ducks" by Tom T Hall.If people want to listen to modern chart music, there's already lots of stations that play this type of music such as Fox FM,Triple M and Nova.I reckon DJ Miriam should go and work at Nova and not at Coles radio. From Jono and ben
