John “Burgo” Burgess will return to the airwaves from April 22 on Forever Classic 6iX after a year away.

Burgo will be back in the presenters chair from 6am to midday on Saturdays.

“Burgo is a Perth radio legend and without doubt part of the fabric of both Perth and Forever Classic 6iX,” General Manager Evan Broadway said.

“The opportunity to have John back with us will be welcomed by our listeners and advertisers.”

Operations Director Lucy Hodsdon said she believes 6iX listeners will enjoy the familiar sound of one of the station’s greats returning to the air and the team couldn’t wait to welcome him back once again.

“After a successful outside broadcast at Bethanie Gwelup Lakeside Apartments over the weekend, listeners can expect to hear and see more of Burgo out and about representing the 6iX brand in the future,” she said.
