2Day FM was evacuated for an hour today because of a bomb threat. While no one has officially said the threat relates to the Kyle and Jackie O lie detector incident, police are believed to pursuing that line of investigation.

Police have confirmed a “security threat” was phoned in at about 1.30pm.

The entire World Square building was evacuated for about an hour, leaving the Austereo studios empty and on automation as police and security staff swept the building for a bomb.

Police report that no suspicious items were found.
