A big week for RTRFM

RTRFM is celebrating a huge milestone this week. Friday marks the 30 year anniversary of show, ‘Beats Per Minute’, RTRFM’s weekly, late night foray into dance floor hits and progressive grooves.

‘Beats Per Minute’ has been presented by Colin Bridges nearly every Friday morning since 1985, when it’s position on the program grid made RTRFM Perth’s First 24 hour radio station.

Bridges will broadcast the special 30th anniversary show ‘Beat Per Minute’ from 2am – 6am this Friday Novemeber 6. He has guaranteed to keep the party going until sun-up!

As well as the celebrations for the show some exciting changes were made to the drive line up.

On Monday RTRFM farewelled, Tanya Bunter, who finished up the year in the Monday Drive chair to focus on Thursday’s ‘The Mag’. Next week, they will welcome Brit Day to fill her place on Monday drive. Day is no stranger to RTRFM having already presented ‘Underground Solution’, the occasional ‘Full Frequency’, and the previous Tuesday Out To Lunch segment: Mesmerism.

Also after the recent departure of Simon and Anth, Jade Nobbs stepped up to fill in the slot of Tuesday Drive. Hobbs has already been a regular on RTR for shows like ‘Soulsides’, ‘El Ritmo’, and ‘Golden Apples of the Sun’.
