Justin Bieber & BloodPop’s ‘Friends’ was the most played track on CHR stations in October with 3,271 spins. Nova100 spun the track the most with 235 spins, with Nova969 Sydney only a spin behind. Since the track’s release on 17 August, it climbed up the Airplay Chart each week before finally reaching number one last week.
‘You’re The Best Thing About Me’ by U2 was the most played song across rock stations last month with 218 spins, with 2MMM playing the track the most – 62 times. Paul Kelly wasn’t far behind with 199 spins for his track, ‘Firewood & Candles’.
Jessica Mauboy topped the Hot AC stations after ‘Fallin” received 512 plays. 973 spun the track 132 times during October, accounting for more than a quarter of spins. ‘Fallin” also appeared on the Top 5 for AC stations at No.4 with 211 spins. The most played song on AC stations was Sam Smith’s ‘Too Good At Goodbyes‘ with 250 spins. Finally, ‘Body Like A Back Road’ by Sam Hunt topped the list for Classic stations with 75 spins.
