This morning on the Central Coast’s Hit101.3, breakfast announcer Ash Pollard surprised co-host Daniel ‘Gawndy’ Gawned with the exciting news she and long-time partner Pete are expecting.
Thinking he was just part of another show game ‘Mystery Box Challenge’, Gawndy was handed gloves, a blindfold and was told to guess what Ash had placed in the box.
Unknowingly running his fingers over the item and even taking a whiff, Ash danced around with nervous energy and he guessed it was in fact a pregnancy test. Worried at first it could be wife Jaimee’s, Ash assured him it was definitely hers.
New mummy-to-be, Ash Pollard said: “I am equal parts terrified and thrilled for what is about to become my new life. I can’t wait to see what Pete and I have made together… I’m certain it’ll be a scrumptious creation (hark, do I hear a bias mother already?!)
“To finally have the news out and making the rounds is truly a weight off our shoulders. I’m so grateful for the support of our listeners here on the Central Coast, what a community! Pete and I look forward to sharing this odyssey as it unfolds… now to start the pram selection!
