AFTRS graduate Simon Takla has scored the role of Star FM Shepparton’s new breakfast anchor, co-hosting with Stacey June.

Takla graduated with a Graduate Diploma in Radio from AFTRS in 2014 and has experience presenting on SYN and on TV with Channel 31, Melbourne where he won the 2013 SYN Award for TV Presenter of the Year.

On the new appointment, Simon says,“I couldn’t have done it without AFTRS and my classmates.”

Simon will take the reigns from Tommy Jackett, who has hosted Star FM breakfast for two years.
