ACAST launches a mental health event series for agency partners

Ahead of World Mental Health Day (October 10th, 2020), Acast has announced an industry-focused mental health initiative for its agency partners.

The quarterly event series looks to remove stigma and encourage engagement around mental health by subverting traditional media-land events into an opportunity for real and productive mental health discussions.

The first event kicks off this Friday with a mental health themed quiz hosted by mental health advocate and creator of the Better Than Yesterday podcast, Osher Günsberg.

Regional Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand at Acast, Henrik Isaksson said: “It’s been a tough year for many in agency land, but there is still reason to relax and celebrate. We wanted to move beyond the traditional media lunch or pub event to offer something that will help improve the lives of our agency partners in a fun and engaging way.

“This new mental health initiative is another way we’re hoping to give back and support the industry.”

Osher Günsberg, said: “We all love a quiz – so why not use it as a way to discuss and reflect on our own mental health? It’s refreshing to see events like this popping up that help drive more meaningful conversations and industry engagement. Above all I hope that the quizes allow people to step back from their hectic lives and reconnect with their colleagues and friends.”

The first of Acast’s mental health events will be held on Friday 9th October from 12PM – 12:45PM.
