ABC Radio gets round to launching new logo

ABC Radio has launched its new logo as part of the 2017 image rebrand.

The round logo reflects the dropping of the call numbers of each local radio station as part of the network’s multiplatform philosophy, outlined in our earlier reports.

The photo right shows ABC Regional Content Manager Cath Hurley supporting her metro colleagues by proudly displaying the new logo on her facebook page.

All local stations (except ABC Radio Adelaide) will adopt the new logo from this week.

With a limited budget to promote the new logo, ABC Radio Melbourne’s Red Simons had a novel way of helping out the publicity department in their quest to popularise the name change and new image.
