4LG and WestFM in Longreach, Western Queensland have been sold. After a couple of months of negotiations, Dave and Ann Robertson have taken over the company from Vic and Lesley Blackwood.

Dave and Ann Robertson are part owners of 1521QN in Deniliquin (after recently selling part share to nearby 3NE) and are one of the few private owners of radio stations left in the industry.

It is “business as usual at both 4LG and WestFM. There are no staffing or programming changes planned,” says Robertson.

The station will be run by Dave and Ann Robertson from Deniliquin with long time staff member Matt Stephens taking on the role of Station Manager.

Dave Robertson told radioinfo: “Longreach is a great town, very progressive and expanding in many areas despite the recent drought. We were delighted to be able to purchase the station from Vic Blackwood so that it remains an independently operated station.”
