2SER Breakfast Presenter Mitch Byatt moving on

2SER 107.3 Sydney breakfast presenter Mitch Byatt announced today that he is leaving the station to take up a new job outside the radio industry.

“After two years of helming 2ser brekky it’s time for me to go. It’s been a wild ride..

“The transformation of a dishevelled drive host who interviewed bands and made silly jokes into a person who brought you the biggest issues of the day with the occasional giggle has been a great experience.

“I can’t thank the staff and countless volunteers who keep this place going enough. The 4am starts (without the help of that sinful brown liquid – coffee) was made worth it with all the emails, texts and calls from listeners. Champo, I’ll miss you the most.

“I’m off to a new adventure, which won’t involve falling asleep during dinner with my beautiful wife.

“Don’t forget there are alternative stations on the dial which strive to give you the stories, ideas and music you don’t hear anywhere else. They need your support. Be good. Love Mitch.”

Speaking for all the staff and volunteers at 2SER, Program Director Anthony Dockrill thanked Mitch for his boundless energy hosting the breakfast show. “We will miss Mitch’s sunny disposition on air each morning. We wish him well in his next career steps and know he will always be a supporter of 2SER.”
