Scoopla partners with Twitter

The Hit Network’s Scoopla site has partnered with Twitter to launch Twitter Moments in Australia.

Moments is a new feature being rolled out by Twitter that allows only select publishers such as Scoopla to create a new type of content on the social networking site by collating a collection of tweets related to a particular event.

Within the first 24 hours of the feature being launched, Scoopla started publishing Moments.

The 2Day breakfast show with Dan & Maz decided on a social media experiment this morning that dominated Twitter and Instagram today, despite the leadership spill overnight.

Dan & Maz asked their Sydney audience to hashtag #SydneySnapShot at precisely 8.07am this morning, the idea soon took over the #1 trending hashtag in Australia and Sydney on Twitter and Instagram.

Greater access to news as Facebook bolsters trending service

Facebook is attempting to close the gap on Twitter as a news-oriented social media site with changes to its news and trending sections, giving broadcasters a greater opportunity to distribute news and promos via twitter if they play their cards right.

2014 saw the introduction of the trending bar on the Facebook homepage, allowing people to easily digest what was being talked about worldwide while browsing their news feed.

Twitter has improved the way its handles audio inside its own app.

Radio stations and musicians already share lots of audio on twitter via links, but now that audio can be played from wintin the twitter app.

With a single tap, the Twitter Audio Card lets you discover and listen to audio directly in your timeline on both iOS and Android devices.
