Southern Cross Austereo cuts wages and suspends ASX trading

Southern Cross Austereo has moved quickly to try and ensure the long term survival of their business and employee livelihoods by cutting wages and implementing a new leave policy.
From April all staff earning over $68,000 p/a will be required to take an immediate 10% pay cut for the next six months. This change will not apply to any employees paid an award-based wage and no employee will be required to work overtime during this period.
Onair staff have offered their assistance and also reduced their fees and contracts by 10%.

AirCheck now monitors all major DAB+ stations

AirCheck has expanded its coverage of digital radio to include all major stations, due to client demand.
The addition of a further 29 DAB+ stations completes AirCheck’s digital radio offering, with advertising data across all DAB+ stations owned by ARN, Nova Entertainment and SCA is now available on the online platform.

SCA calls a halt to trading of ordinary shares

Southern Cross Media has asked the Australian Stock Exchange for a trading halt in respect of its ordinary shares.
In a letter to the ASX today, Southern Cross says the halt is necessary for the company to assess the impact of COVID-19 on it’s business, and to make an announcement to the markets about the impact and about the measures that SCA is putting in place to address them.
SCA share this morning were trading at 16.5 cents.
