SEN1116 to broadcast VFL games

SEN1116 will begin broadcasting games of the 2005 TXU Victorian Football League season beginning this Saturday.

The Williamstown vs Box Hill clash will kick off SEN’s coverage, which will give the station some much needed live VFL football coverage which it needs to compete with major ALF league broadcasters such as 3AW.

Mark Doran and David Schwartz will call this weekend’s game with special comments from Liam Pickering and featuring Mark Stone on the boundary. Current AFL personalities (coaches & players) will be a regular feature of SEN’s broadcasts.

SEN Program Director Peter Gowers has told radioinfo: “SEN’s coverage of live sport continues to grow. We are delighted to have forged a partnership with the VFL and TXU which will allow SEN1116 to broadcast games of the 2005 TXU VFL season.”

Football Victoria’s CEO, Ken Gannon says he is pleased to welcome SEN to the Football Victoria team.

SEN’s broadcast will kick off at 12noon on Saturday, April 2.
