Last week, very few people inside 2BS knew that today John Laws would be heard on air at 9am.

This morning, a brief news item about the sale of 2BS and B rock was aired just before the network morning show at 9am, then the Laws theme music began. Instead of regular presenter Ray Hadley, listeners heard John Laws.

Blue Mountains Council claims Hadley’s ‘bully pulpit’ used to attack them

The Blue Mountains Council has begun legal action against Ray Hadley for what it claims are false accusations about asbestos removal.
 
A media release from the council says Hadley “used the bully pulpit of his radio station to attack the Council and its personnel.”
 
The council is defending its staff from Hadley’s claims, saying: “There are times when a public body must make a strong defence of its people and itself.  This is such a time.”

Victorian DPP seeks jail for Australian media

The Director of Public Prosecutions has called on 36 organisations and individuals to appear before a Supreme Court hearing on April 15 to answer accusations they breached a suppression order when publishing material about the George Pell trial last year.

Among those named in documents presented to the Victorian Supreme Court are 2GB’s Ray Hadley and Chris Smith as well as Macquarie Media.

Nova has been swapping things around for the past two weeks on the show after the whole Marie Kondo sensation.

All the team brought in things that didn’t bring them joy, and swapped them for something else.

Fitzy brought in Season 3 of Baywatch on DVD signed by Pamela Anderson, then others swapped a range of goodies, including a Keg of 4 Pines, a Ticket to the Shawn Mendez show, Tradie for a day, a Caroma toilet suite and a Business class flights to Hamilton Island.
