What a song to be playing just as you go off air

A major fault hit Hobart’s Mount Wellington this morning at around 10:15am sending all commercial stations in the city off air for over an hour.
 
For the techos the problem was a feeder to the upper stack.
 
For the music buffs, we didn’t know we were about to go off air, but the song playing at the time on Hit 100.9 couldn’t have been a better choice.

From Hobart to Rockhampton: Breakfast hosts pitch in to find missing dog

Hobart’s hit100.9 has enlisted the help of Sea FM in Rockhampton to find a missing dog from Tasmania.
 
In a horrible twist of fate, Chloe a Rottweiler got off her lead while owner Brendan came to the aid of a lady experiencing car trouble on the Bruce Highway in Queensland.
 
Brendan called Paul and Woody, hosts of hit100.9's breakfast show this morning with a plea to find his beloved dog.


Hobart radio hosts make the switch

Inspired by the current TV show The 7 Year Switch – Hobart’s Hit 100.9 breakfast hosts, Paul and Woody, slept together last night.

Meanwhile Paul’s (much younger) girlfriend slipped between the sheets with Woody’s husband.

This morning Paul and Woody were live from Paul’s bed – Star Wars Doona and all.

As you toast your Easter Buns, spread them with butter, make a cuppa and get ready to tune into one of the many long-weekend countdowns on your favourite radio station take a moment to think of Paul and Woody from Hobart's 100.9 Sea FM.
 
The Hobart breakfast duo hatched a plan to smash the Guinness World Record for the biggest Easter bun. With the support of Cripps bakery, which volunteered to bake the bun in their newly installed Italian oven, a massive 300-kilogram Easter bun was constructed.
 

Radio announcers 'suck face' in the latest viral sensation

It’s the 2015 version of the Ice Bucket Challenge with radio stations around the world jumping on board and it’s just hit our shores.
 
All you need to do is make a video of you and someone else eating a Twizzler, Lady-and-The-Tramp style (two people chowing down on the ends of a piece of licorice), then nominate your friends, families, BFFs or frenemies to take the challenge or donate to raise money for programs and services supporting Autism.

After a world record unicycle ride around Australia, Samuel Johnson will shortly be entering Tasmania to complete the final leg. After the inspirational ride the Sea FM Hobart breakfast duo Paul and Woody are going to give Sam a helping hand and join him for the southern part of his ride.

Sea FM will be supporting Sam and joining him in a bid to show that Tasmania is the most generous of states.
