The funeral of Darling Downs broadcaster Pat O’Shea will be held tomorrow at midday, Thursday September 10 at St Patrick’s Cathedral, 123 Neil St, Toowoomba

He passed away earlier this week after a short illness.

Pat O’shea was a staple of the Darling Downs community. Anyone who had the pleasure to cross his path, will speak about the passion and sincerity he displayed with everything he undertook.

Pat hosted a popular sport program on 4GR every Saturday morning where no topic from race horses to badminton was off limits.

James O’Shea, Pat’s son told the Chronicle, “It made me realise how lucky we were to see him every day…I lost my dad, my best friend, my mentor, my voice of reason, my idol, my hero.”

When he left commercial radio Pat O’Shea was involved in the local community station, and at one time his programming was subject to an ACMA investigation, which radioinfo covered at the time.
