Maryborough Survey puts SEA FM on Top

Radio ratings for the historical town of Maryborough in Queensland have been released. For local stations 101.9 SEA FM and MIX 103.5 FM, it’s the first survey since 1999.

A town steeped in history, Maryborough is nestled on the Mary River and was once one of Australia’s largest ports.

“Maryborough today joins 23 other regional markets that have participated in the regional surveys.  Feedback from stations Australia-wide has been extremely positive,”  said CRA’s Joan Warner

The survey, conducted by Xtra Insights (formerly Xtra Research), shows Sea FM is the top station with 34.8%, dominating the under 40 audience.

Second placed Mix FM scored 23.8%, winning 40-64s and ABC Local Radio Wide Bay was third with 15.5%.

Sea FM won breakfast ahead of Mix and ABC Wide Bay. Mix won mornings, Sea won afternoons, drive and weekends. ABC won evenings
