Marty Sheargold bids farewell as his replacement is feeling nervous

After 10 years with the Nova Network and nine years as co-host on Nova’s national drive show, on Friday night Marty Sheargold said goodbye to listeners for the final time.
 
Marty’s mates Adam Gilchrist, Amy Shark, Matty Johns, his Producer Jess Bath and Associate Producer Loren Barry, someone who knows him best as his Melbourne producer, bid him farewell and wished him well for the future.

Marty divorces Kate and Tim

Marty Sheargold will depart the Kate, Tim & Marty drive show on Friday 11 September.

With an impressive career, spanning a decade with the Nova Network, Marty joined Nova 106.9’s breakfast show alongside Tim Blackwell and Meshel Laurie in 2010.

The following year the trio became Nova’s national drive show, with Kate Ritchie joining Blackwell and Sheargold in 2014 to form the successful Kate, Tim & Marty drive show.

After kicking off his national tour Friday 18th October 2019, Marty announced he will get back on the Comedy Festival route from February 2020, performing at various locations across the country.

The music team at Nova were busy this week with two Nova Red Rooms, first Ava Max in Sydney, then, Billie Eilish in Melbourne last night.
 
Last night 600 guests attended one of the hottest gigs of the year when 17-year-old superstar, Billie Eilish took the stage at St Kilda’s Prince Bandroom, performing for some of her biggest fans including competition winners, celebrities, media and industry reps.

Kyle Sandilands is one of twenty bearded celebrities in the running to win the award.
 
Thor hunk Chris Hemsworth, celebrity chef Miguel Maestre, radio personalities Lehmo  &  Marty Sheargold are also on the final list of 20 being considered for the title.

Tim Blackwell and Marty Sheargold from Nova’s Drive team have kicked off their Great Australian Road Trip for Mrs Mac’s in Perth – setting the pie eating bar high for the rest of the country.

Tim and Marty will host a pie eating competition in a different city every day this week, inviting listeners to see how many Mrs Mac’s pies they can eat in two minutes, while Kate Ritchie holds the fort back in the Sydney studio.
