Maquarie Radio Network director resigns

In an interesting week at 2GB, more news has come from the Saunders Street bunker with Macquarie Radio Network Ltd board member Russell Tate resigning as a director of the company.

MRN says Tate’s decision reflects “his increased responsibilities as executive chairman of STW Communications Group Ltd,” John Singleton’s advertising, media and communications firm.

MRN in February reported a first half net profit of $3.29 million, down 11.3% on the same period in the last financial year.

It said the decline in profit was due to its commitment to digital and new media investment.
