Last Wednesday Brisbane radio station Hit 105 breakfast announcers Stav Davidson and Abby Coleman attempted to set a new record for Most Fitbit Steps By Two People In An Hour While Hosting A Radio Show, a title proudly held since 2^nd March by Karratha hosts Pablo Newton Farley and Angie Ayers.

The record stood at a combined 14,223 steps in an hour and the Hit 105 team beat it with 15,772 steps, crushing the Karratha team who they crossed to during judging.

Damon Rielly has been appointed General Manager of SCA's Brisbane stations Hit 105 and Triple M, following the departure of Richard Barker on July 15, 2016.

This appointment will see Damon return to SCA, after originally joining the company in 2001 when he quickly worked his way up to become Director of Sales and led both the agency and direct sales teams to ‘Best Station Sales Performance’ awarded by Commercial Radio Australia in 2007.

With 18 artists on three stages, hit105 put on the Ultimate Laneway Gig yesterday as part of the Story Bridge 75th Anniversary Celebrations

More than 74,000 Brisbanites joined in the party, enjoying the glorious weather and sampling food from the dozens of Eat Street Market food vendors, whilst watching a host of amazing acts.

Hit105 is part of the mega Story Bridge 75th anniversary celebrations and will be providing the soundtrack in what is set to be Brisbane’s biggest Laneway Gig.

As official sponsors of the historic event,  hit105 will rally 15 artists from around the world and Australia, shut down the Story Bridge on Sunday July 5 - and invite the whole city.
