What is SCA's latest DAB+ brand?

While there has been no official announcement OMG! appears to be the new DAB+ brand that SCA has launched to replace Classic Rock which closed down because it had too many listeners.
 
The Triple M spin-off station was eating into the cume audience of its parent station Triple M.
 
Cumes illustrate audience size, "estimating the unduplicated number of people reached by a station at least once during a particular time period," according to GFK's audience survey definitions.

Survey 3 in Canberra a tie

Survey 3 results for Canberra have been released this morning and snap...

Hit 104.7 and Mix 106.3 are equal number one All People 10+ with a 15.9 share.

ABC 666 was third with 14.5%.

Worth noting is 2CC's -2.5% from a 7.6 share to 5.1.

It was tight in Breakfast with Mix 106.3 lifting 2.1% to take number FM commercial with 14%. Hit 104.7 narrowly behind on 13.5%.

Overall the ABC was the big winner in that day part with a 20.6 share.

The GfK radio ratings surveys are released eight times per year for the metropolitan markets of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.The survey collects information on platform of listening across AM/FM, DAB+ digital radio and internet.

This report is based on the average results across the three most recent surveys (Survey 3, 4 and 5 2016). 

The total DAB+ cumulative audience is 3, 603 000.

Coles radio had the largest cumulative audience of 151,000 followed by Buddha with 139,000 and The 80's iHeartRadio 119,000.

DAB+ digital radio reaches 3.5m listeners

DAB+ digital radio is continuing to grow in popularity, gaining 168,000 listeners to reach 3.52 million in the five metropolitan capital cities, according to the latest digital radio report by GfK, released today.

Peak industry body Commercial Radio Australia said the numbers were helped by solid growth in in-car listening, with another 91,900 new vehicles sold with DAB+ installed in the first quarter of 2016.

Mix 106.3 has leapfrogged the ABC in Canberra's first GfK survey for 2016 to take top spot as Number 1 all people 10+ with a 17.9% share.

Interestingly it's the same figure ABC 666 held in the last survey, it now has a 14.2% share to sit third overall behind FM 104.7 which dipped slightly but still holds the number two spot overall.

In Breakfast again, Mix 106.3 had a hefty 5.8% lift propelling it into second spot behind ABC666, which dropped 4.2% but still remains Numner 1 in that daypart with a 19% share.

DAB+ digital radio growth continues as industry launches Christmas retailer campaign

Australians are embracing digital radio, with new data by GfK showing four out of 10 Australians in the five metropolitan capital cities now have access to a digital radio at home, work or in the car.

Joan Warner, CEO of industry body Commercial Radio Australia, said the industry was pleased with the strong uptake of DAB+ technology, which offers high sound quality and new digital-only radio stations.

Hot Tomato remains the number one radio station on the Gold Coast all people 10+, according to the latest GfK survey released today.

In the third survey this year Hot Tomato increased its share slightly to 13.8% with Gold FM recording a slight loss sitting on 12.4%.
