David Penberthy and Will Goodings issued an apology from Nova and FIVEaa this morning following comments made by veteran broadcaster, Jeremy Cordeaux, over the weekend.
 
During his weekend breakfast show, Cordeaux called Brittany Higgins a “silly liitle girl who got drunk” and then continuing with remarks branded as appalling by saying, “If this girl has been raped, why hasn’t the guy who raped her been arrested? Apparently everyone knows his name.”

FIVEaa Evening presenter Jeremy Cordeaux will move to weekend breakfast in 2021.

After five years as Adelaide’s leading evenings broadcaster, Jeremy has made the decision to have a change of lifestyle and move into Weekend Breakfast.

The SA radio legends will feature as a part of FIVEaa and Variety’s radiothon that, now in it’s sixth year, has raised over half a million dollars to support children in need.

Jeremy Cordeaux contests drink driving charge

Lawyers for FIVEaa evening presenter Jeremy Cordeaux appeared in an Adelaide Magistrates Court today to contest a drink driving charge.

Lawyer Michael Woods told the court, “I have advised my client that he has a defence... we wish to put to the prosecution.”

The case was adjourned until December without a plea being entered to one count of driving with excess blood alcohol.

Four years ago, 74 year old Cordeaux was convicted of another drink driving charge and lost his licence for 6 months.
