Hinch leaving the Senate, back to TV. What about radio?

"I won't be returning to radio, I'm contracted to SkyNews," Derryn HInch has told radioinfo in an online discussion that began when he commented on shift change rumours at 2GB/3AW.

As Hinch finishes his term in Canberra, his focus has now returned to media, after he performed one last duty as a Senator.

As 25 senior executives from television, radio and press converge on Canberra today in hopes of ensuring the government's media reform bill passes, Senator Derryn Hinch says he too is in favour of changes.

Senator Hinch supports scrapping the two-out-of-three rule which prevents control of a single market.

As a former radio journalist, it's no surprise he agrees with the media industry's argument that changes must be made to the outdated media laws.

The Human Headline revealed to Merrick Watts today that he has just been filming a Bollywood movie.

On Triple M’s national drive show Merrick..and Australia, Hinch talked about the film, as well as chatting about the issues of the day.

The self confessed “Human Headline”, Derry Hinch, was this morning released from prison after spending 50 days behind bars.

The former 3AW “shock jock” was found to be in contempt of court in January after breaching a suppression order about the killer of Jill Meagher. He was ordered to pay a $100,000 fine – or spend 50 days in gaol as a result of the breach.
